Hijack S2

The second season of the thriller TV series Hijack starring Idris Elba takes place predominantly on a replicated German U-Bahn train. To ensure absolute realism on screen, the driver’s cab required fully functional control panels. Switches, levers, and gears were designed and built with realistic mechanisms, creating an authentic look and sound when handled by the cast during filming.

Every panel was engineered with spring and rocker mechanisms, allowing production to change the action of the switches right up until filming began. The fabrication used a mix of waterjet-cut aluminium elements, precision ball bearings, and custom springs.
