How to Train Your Dragon - Rhino CAD

This 2025 Universal Pictures live-action adaptation of the DreamWorks animated film required the development of various props, including the internal mechanism for the main dragon Toothless’s tail fin. The articulation was engineered to move smoothly across multiple junctions for a wide range of movement on film, while strictly balancing weight and size constraints.

Designed to work seamlessly with the outer skin, the project involved close collaboration with the leather department, ultimately crossing over into fabricating elements of the final leatherwork directly.
